FAQ's

  1. What safety measures are in place during the skate sessions?
We prioritize safety above all else. All students are required to wear helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards at all times. Instructors perform gear checks at the beginning of each session. We maintain a low 6:1 student-to-coach ratio to ensure personalized supervision and instruction.

  2. Are helmets and pads required? Do you provide them?
Yes, safety gear is mandatory. We offer helmets and full pad sets for rent at $25 per camp week, or you may purchase them from us. Students are also welcome to bring their own gear.

  3. What’s the student-to-instructor ratio?
We keep a maximum 6:1 student-to-coach ratio to ensure safety, quality instruction, and individual attention.

  4. How do you handle injuries or accidents?
We have fully stocked first aid kits and ice packs available on-site at all times. Minor injuries are treated immediately, and parents are notified right away. In the event of a serious incident, we follow emergency protocols and call 911 if needed.

  5. What experience or qualifications do your instructors have?
Our coaches are experienced career skaters with years of teaching, coaching, or working with youth. Many have backgrounds in education, youth mentorship, and professional skateboarding instruction.

  6. How do you ensure instructors are good at working with kids of different ages and skill levels? Are hour coaches background checked?
We carefully select coaches with strong communication skills and a passion for working with kids. Our staff is trained to differentiate instruction and adapt to the needs of each student—whether they're absolute beginners or more advanced riders. We also background check all of our coaches each year.

  7. What types of skills will my child learn over time?
Your child will progress through core skateboarding and roller fundamentals like stance, balance, pushing, turning, and stopping. As they advance, they’ll learn tricks such as ollies, kickturns, drop-ins, and more—at their own pace.

  8. Is the program structured with levels or goals?
Yes, our program is goal-oriented and structured around skill levels. We help each student set personal goals and track their progress throughout the camp or session series.

  9. How do you support beginners who have never skated before?
Beginners are welcomed with patience and enthusiasm! We start with the basics in a flat, safe learning zone and guide them step-by-step. Coaches provide individual support and encouragement to help build confidence.

  10. What does a typical class/session look like?
Each session starts with warm-ups and a safety check. Then we split into small groups based on skill level. We alternate between instruction, games, free skate time, and mini-challenges to keep things fun and engaging.

  11. Do kids need to bring their own boards and gear?
We encourage kids to bring their own gear if they have it, but it’s not required. We offer quality skateboard rentals and safety gear for an additional fee.

  12. What happens in case of bad weather (if it’s outdoors)?
In case of rain or unsafe conditions, we move to a covered or indoor skate spot when available, or the session is rescheduled. We communicate any schedule changes via email and text.

  13. Is there a make-up policy for missed classes?
Yes, we offer make-up sessions for any classes missed due to weather or illnesses. Please let us know in advance so we can coordinate.

  14. How do you make sure all kids feel welcome and included?
Creating an inclusive and supportive community is at the heart of our program. Our coaches promote respect, kindness, and encouragement. We actively celebrate every student's progress and create a judgment-free environment.

  15. How do you handle behavior issues or conflicts between students?
We handle all behavior issues with care and communication. Coaches are trained in conflict resolution and work with students to solve problems constructively. Parents are notified if behavior consistently disrupts the group.

  16. Do you provide updates or progress reports to parents?
Yes! Parents receive regular updates, photos, and weekly notes about their child's progress. We’re happy to chat after class or provide a summary at the end of the camp week.

  17. How do I get in touch with instructors or program leads if I have questions?
You can contact us any time via email, phone, or text. We’re always happy to answer questions, provide updates, or schedule a time to speak with your child’s coach directly.
